Blog vs. Wiki

There are quite a few distinctions when it comes to comparing a Blog and a Wiki. By definition, according to The University of New South Wales, a blog is "An online journal, diary or news column with posts in reverse chronological order and options for readers to comment. On the other hand, a wiki is "An easily-edited set of one or more linked web pages that readers can add to or modify". It is also noted, a wiki facilitates collaborative content creation. Furthermore, when it comes to ownership, a blog has an individual owner, while a wiki has multiple.

Ultimately, what you use is your specific preference as a blog and wiki are useful in their own ways. In terms of a blog, even though there is an individual owner the use of the comments allows collaboration because people are able to give their own personal insight onto the blog. At the moment, I don't believe there can be another significant function of a wiki as it is used to its furthest abilities in my opinion.
